Oxfordshire baby photography – I was delighted to be contacted by Jude and Tom to photograph their bonny baby a few months ago. With busy lives we finally pinned a date to go to their beautiful recently renovated cottage in Oxfordshire, a mixture of old and new combined well to create modern family living. I was greeted by a huge smile from this gorgeous wee boy after his morning nap and feed. It was lovely to see his mum and dad again and enjoy time with them capturing fun time together. We put him on their bed and let him be himself, bathed in natural light and full of sleep and milk he beamed with smiles and laughter. At seven months he is showing his own personality. At this age they are content to stay still for a good amount of time and show off their new skills and I prefer to capture babies in their home environment, without flash, so they feel more relaxed. If they need changing or feeding it’s more relaxing for the parents too, favourite toys are easily available and it’s more personal with your own rooms as a back drop. These things bring back memories in years to come.
The sun stayed out, so it was time to go into the garden and have time in his wooden swing seat, which he enjoyed. A moment to capture Tom, Jude and their son and the joy he has brought to them.
With modern technology, good cameras being more accessible and most having a phone with camera, it is so much easier for everyone to capture day to day pictures of family. Jude and Tom have done this, but said they have so few photographs of the three of them together. Having a family photography session is the perfect opportunity to take some time out to be captured together, creating lasting memories. As much as we all enjoy seeing images on social media and on our computers, there is nothing like seeing these images printed out and framed. I offer images on disc, prints, framed prints, canvasses and albums. You can order these directly from the private viewing gallery I send you after a session, which is viewed online, you can choose print sizes and frame colours. They are then delivered to your own home.
Not to be outdone, the two family dogs jumped up to be included in the Oxfordshire family photography session.
It’s important to know when a baby has had enough, their attention is short and after an hour of capturing him his mind turned to food and rest. So it was time for a cuddle from me and time to head home to edit and process the images for Tom and Jude.
