This is my fourth Towcester natural family photography session with this beautiful family, following their wee one from bump to her first birthday. Clients often ask when is best to capture their new arrival. Although as newborns they aren’t very interactive with the camera, there is something very special about photographing them sleeping, feeding, being bathed and held. A time that can’t be repeated. At a few months old the change is incredible, often sitting up and smiling and then at a year their own personalities shining through, now crawling or walking, their hair growing fast, laughing and playing. Although Mimi is tiny, she walked very early and enjoyed having her new shoes and beautiful coat put on. Her hat was taken off as soon as her mum put it on, as is often the case! It was a joy to be there to see her take her first steps outside with her big brother, mum and dad. It was a cold crispy day, but the sun was shining on them as they held her hands to walk across the open grassland. She has already developed a love of the camera, as her brother did when little.
